The Scientific Quarterly of Rescue and Relief is the only official publication of Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has the scientific-research rank and accredited by the Commission for Accreditation and Improvement of Iranian Medical Journals (CAIMJ).
All research articles in the fundamental, developmental, and applied fields that deal with each which are related to any of the following topics are accepted in this publication, as follows: 

• Rescue & relief in disasters;
• Crisis management in disasters &   foresight and futures research in crisis;
• Health, treatment, and rehabilitation in disasters;
• Nutrition in disasters;
• Epidemics in crises;
• Health services in disasters; 
• Psychological support in disasters;
• Trauma, triage etc.
• International Humanitarian Law;
• New training methods in disasters management;
• Environmental accidents and disasters and their consequences & climate change;
• Natural geography and vulnerability of areas and population in disasters;  
• Rescue & relief in chemical, microbial, nuclear, radioactive accidents;
• Resilience to natural disasters;
• Health management in mass gatherings & conflicts. 

 
Since its establishment (2009), 69 issues of the quarterly have been published.
